Artificial vision becoming a reality

In an article by Jay Greene published on crainsdetroit.com in which he quoted Philip Hessburg, M.D the Medical Director of the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology who said that he believes the blind will see — eventually and through medical research.

Second Sight’s Argus II is a retinal implant designed to provide electrical stimulation to the retina and is only the beginning of devices that will be developed by scientists across the globe that will give much greater range of vision to the blind.

This is good news for the blind people because they get a chance to see the world or things by the range of artificial vision. For more information you can read the original article on Crains Detroit.
