Prescription Lenses for Google Glass Coming in 2014

New York-based company Rochester Optical promises to release a special prescription lens add-on for the Google Glass in early 2014.

Rochester Optical announced that Tim Moore, one of the early Glass Explorers, will join its prescription-lens project.

Mashable reported that according to Moore, the Google glass-ready prescription lenses will be on same price and range as standard lenses. Customers will be able to choose a matching color for their existing device on a website and enter their prescription information. The lenses will be shipped to them within two business days.

While Rochester Optical's 2014 launch might hint at some knowledge of Google release plans, Moore clarified that Google is not involved in the project in any way.
