Eye Complications

Our eyes play a very important role in our lives. We must take care of our eye health. It is highly recommended to have an eye exam once or twice a year. If you experience any abnormal symptoms with your eyes or vision, you should see a doctor immediately. With regular checkups, you can keep minor problems minor. And if you do develop a major problem, there are treatments that often work well if you begin them right away.

There are many common eye disorders, such as:
·      Cataracts
·      Glaucoma
·      Retinopathy
·      Low vision

People with diabetes do have a higher risk of blindness than people without diabetes. But most people who have diabetes have nothing more than minor eye disorders. Parents should also take care of their children’s eye health. They should teach their children not to play with sharp or pointed objects that can harm their eyes.
