Video Games Affect The Eyesight Of Children!

There is an interesting debate on whether video games affect your eyesight at www.debate.org/opinions/do-video-games-affect-your-eyesight.  100% of those who responded said “Yes, video games do affect your eyesight”. You can add your thoughts and comments, or follow the original debate at the above link. Following are some of the reasons people shared:

If you play video games in moderation it can actually help sharpen your eye movement skills, eye-hand coordination, visual reaction time, visualization, and side vision awareness. However, video games and any other object you focus on for too long can affect your eyesight in a negative way. It can put the eyes under great stress.

Any activity that requires a high amount of focus on the part of your eyes is probably not the healthiest for them. This probably depends on how long you spend doing the activity though. Playing for a short period does not negatively impact your eyesight as much as playing for a very long period of time.

We are not saying that don’t play video games, but too much spending time in playing video games on the computer screen or TV can affect your eyesight. Your eyes get very tired and strained and pretty soon they start to water and itch.
