EYEGLASSES: WEARING AND HANDLING

Continuing in our series on how to take care of your eyeglass lenses and frames, 20/20 Eyeglass Superstore® would like to share excerpts from an article on http://www.opticaldirect.com.au/help/glassesCareGeneral.pge.

Here are some tips on how to care for your glasses to keep them functioning as well as possible and to extend their lives.

Do not wear your glasses on top of your head. This can weaken or crack the frames. Also it could affect the optical alignment of your spectacles resulting in impaired vision.

Take them off with two hands instead of one. This keeps the earpieces straight and in the right alignment.

Do not leave glasses hung on the neck via a spectacle cord when not in use because the lenses are then subject to frequent impact and scratch when the glasses swing and hit the surrounding objects.

Always lay your glasses with lens surface face up on a steady surface to avoid scratches, or inside a case when not in use.
If you’re looking for a new pair of prescription glasses, or are considering designer glasses, at 20/20 Eyeglass Superstore® Winter Park you can choose from over 4000 frames. We pride ourselves to have A Frame for Every Face and A Price for Every Budget®.  Hope to see you soon.
